LATE SEASON ARCHERY DOE

Myself

I haven't blogged for a while because it has been a busy time for me the last couple of months.
Things are finally starting to slow up a little and I'm looking forward to the up coming Pa. Trout season.
Hopefully I can keep this thing more up to date.

JERKY MAKING 101

Turn big chunk into smaller chunks.

SLICE BIGGER PIECES INTO SMALLER PIECES

MARINATE

DEHYDRATE

ENJOY

I filled 3 one gallon bags with jerky and, I hate to say this, but, I was going to share this with my friends but it didn't get that far.
I ate it all. It was delicious.

FLINTLOCK SEASON IS COMPLETE

Our flintlock season was unusually mild this year.
There were few complaints though. It was a great year over all for our group of hunters with a 100 % success rate.
As of this time, I was the only 1 not to harvest a deer.
I still had the 2nd season of Archery to fill my tag and did manage to arrow a big fat doe with my crossbow.

RECHARGING THE BATTERIES

Kurt P. Joe M. Ron G. Chris S.
After doing 1 man drives all morning with little luck, its time to fuel the furnace.
It didn't take long after eating that Chris scored with the smoke pole.

1st OF THE FLINTLOCK SEASON

Chris S. drew first blood with fat doe on opening day of the Pa. flintlock season.

FLINTLOCK GANG

All of our gang managed to at least harvest 1 deer this past deer season.
