FISH FRY TIME

We headed to camp on Friday for the fish fry and it was the nicest weather day of the weekend.
John A. and Brad H. headed to Potato upon their arrival and crushed the trout.
It was the highlight of the weekend.

YUMMMMM !!

This was the Highlight of the Penguins Playoff game.
John A. whipped up this delicious appetizer plate for us to snack on.

BRAD H.

We had a new visitor at camp for the weekend.
Brad H. will be leaving for Alaska at the end of May for  the next 4 months to act as a professional fly fishermen guide for clients from around the world.
Now that's a sweet job!
After the disappointing Penguins game we headed to Potato Creek and Brad landed the largest fish caught from camp this year. He checked in with a 17 inch fat Brookie.

John and myself braved the elements and gave fishing a try  to no avail.
It was like fishing the Dead Sea. I guess the trout weren't to happy with the bone chilling cold and late season snowstorm either.

LEAVING SNOW BEHIND

I hope this is the last

TIME FOR MUFFIN MAKING

The Friday before the Pa. trout opener is a time for the annual tradition of Jim F. making English Muffins and Doug A. frying 10lbs of bacon for the upcoming week.
Jim got the recipe from his father and has made them since camp has been ours.
They are the best!

JIM F.

The day before the opening of the Pa. Trout season is 1 of the most enjoyable days of the year. It's great to get together with friends and get camp officially opened for the year.

DOUG A.

On Fishmas Eve, Doug always cooks up 10 pounds of bacon for the upcoming week.
He also partakes in the consumption of a few beverages of his choice.

RON G.

While Jim and Doug keep with tradition, I put a scare into the local chipmunk population.

BACON MAKES US HAPPY

YUMMMMM !!!!!!!!

A fresh baked English Muffin browned in grease and stuffed with crispy bacon might not be good for you, but it sure is tasty!
