1st PHASE OF REMODELING COMPLETE (almost))

I went to camp this past weekend to do some finishing work of our remodeling project. I'm not posting pics so that the guys can be surprised when they arrive for the 1st week of trout season.
The winter this year in the Northern Tier was pretty harsh . Rain, cold, and heavy snow accumulation were the standard this year. The water from Potato Cr. covered Fricke's Crossing, but the bridge never wavered.
I will be heading up 1 more time to open up camp for the season. It will be nice to be able to shower after a long weekend.
Looking forward to the opener of Trout Season.

POTATO CREEK BEHIND CAMP

The creeks were all running clear, but very high. With the floods in early December, I expect big changes in all our old fishing spots. I think we will figure it out before the first week is over. There WILL be a Friday Fish Fry.

NOW WE"RE READY

Fishing is our first priority, but during the week, liquids must be replenished at the end of the day. Genny Cream is the Hoosiers beverage of choice. We are well stocked and ready for company. LETS GO FISHING!!!!!!!

RAYS OF HOPE

I haven't blogged for a while, so I decided it was time to get this thing rolling again. We have had a rather hard winter this year. The weather turned sour right after Thanksgiving and really hasn't let up. Cold and snow for the most part. There is a hint that Spring might be creeping in very slowly. Day time temps are getting above freezing for now.
I got to camp during Super Bowl weekend and made alot of progress getting the living room and kitchen remodeling close to completion.
Joe and I did some finishing work 2 weeks ago and are really close to having camp ready for the opener of trout season. 1 more weekend should do it.(i hope)
My 1st digital camera that I purchased 7 years ago finally died (i think it was the beer spill Doug) so I haven't been keeping up with the blog.
Here are a few pics of some happenings at camp and our late Archery season.
Looking forward to Trout season!!! Spring is on the way.

POTATO CR. SKATING RINK

If our winter in the great white north doesn't ease up, we might need augers for trout season

THE FROZEN TUNDRA

12 to 16 inches of snow and icy roads greeted me upon my arrival at camp on Super Bowl weekend.
