OFF TO A GOOD START

Joe M. and John A. headed up to camp Wed. the 24th and started the day out on the right foot.
Joe landed this 16 in. Brook Trout on Potato Creek to start their morning fish.
Nice job guys !! From what I heard so far, fishing has been great.

NICE CATCH

Early in the week fishing was tough because of the high and discolored water,
but it definitively improved as the week progressed.
Here are 3 of the five that I caught one day during the week.
one 15 1/2in.  Brookie, a 16 1/2in. Brookie and a 16 1/2in. Brown Trout.
Thanks to the Warrener brothers for helping me to land 2 of them.

WORKING UP AN APETITE

We had a good showing for the opening day Wing-Nite.
It started to rain so we all ended up in side camp to enjoy the spread.
135 wings, a pile of fries, macaroni salad, and multiple deserts were dealt out.
Doug and I worked together to come up with a garlic butter parmigian wing  recipe
that was a big hit, along with the standard seasoned wings.
If we can only remember the recipe for the next time.

FISHMAS EVE

The day before trout season is always special.
We all have out little camp job traditions that help us prepare for the upcoming week.
Jim is in charge of making the English Muffins and Syrian Bread.
Doug favorite duty is frying up the camp supply of bacon in advance.
My job is preparing the entrees for the up coming wing night that we have
the evening of the opener.
A few beverages are also enjoyed during the day.

JIM MAKING CAMP SMELL GOOOOOD!!!

DOUG MANNING THE GRIDDLE

The start of frying 13 lbs. of bacon for use during the season.
Its time for warm English Muffins, dipped in bacon fat,add a little lettuce,
a slice of tomato, and enjoy the finest BLT known to mankind.

TYLER GETS TASED

I haven't blogged for a while because of health issues with my Aunt and her passing.
Earlier in the year, I had trouble posting this video because of its length, I Think that was the reason.
I decided to give it another try on my return from camp today and finally had success.
I will be posting more regularly now that trout season is here and I will have more time.
This video is a good reason for the saying.
"What goes on at camp, stays at camp"
I think I just blew it.
